Leningrad state University (LSU). Pushkin, the Russian Association of cryptocurrency and blockchain (RAKIB) and Leningrad chamber of Commerce (letpp) signed an agreement on blockchain collaboration, enabling the region to claim the title of “cryptocurrency capital” of Russia. About it writes “Kommersant”.

The main purpose of the document is to give Leningrad regulatory status of the sandbox. This will allow the blockchain startups to bring their ideas without the risk of violations of financial legislation.

The concept of partnership includes the implementation of the blockchain in business projects, the launch of crowdfunding platforms and the provision of tax incentives for entrepreneurs in the digital market in the region.

The agreement also provides for the creation of new educational programs for professionals of the digital industry.

In the autumn the parties plan to send the document for discussion to deputies of regional Legislative Assembly and then receive approval at the Federal level.

Note that in January, RAKIB and high-tech Park of Belarus has announced plans to develop legislation for the development of kryptonyte.

ForkLog previously reported that financial institutions Sberbank and “Alfa-Bank” announced plans to test and implement new cryptocurrency solutions for VIP clients in the regulatory framework of the “sandbox” of the Central Bank of the Russian Federation.
