40% of institutional investors believe that the blockchain might become the most revolutionary technology after Internet. These were the findings of a new survey conducted by the Global Blockchain Business Council (GBBC).

Simultaneously, a third of respondents (34%) disagreed with this vision of the future of technology, others are unable to give an answer to this question.

31% of respondents also believes that within five years, leading global companies will have in their senior Directors responsible for the development of blockchain-directions.

26% of respondents believe that the leading companies will need to actively communicate their plans and intentions in respect of the blockchain, since this will require investors. 38% of respondents stated that it will happen in the next 3-5 years, and only 13% believe that the company is not going to do it.

“Almost no doubt that the potential of the blockchain can have an impact on most sectors of the economy and on key areas of our daily lives. In the future will be successful organization with a clear and understandable strategy for the blockchain, and those who will use technology to transform its business”, — said CEO GBBC Sandra Ro.

His research GBBC held in December and January, interviewing a total of 71 major investor. The results were presented at the world economic forum in Davos.

Initiative Global Blockchain Business Council was represented at last year’s forum in Davos company Bitfury Group.

Recall, according to a report by Swiss investment consortium Crypto Valley Venture Capital, for the year 2018, the number of companies working with digital currencies and the technology of distributed registry in Switzerland and Liechtenstein increased by 20%.
