Partner at venture capital firm Placeholder Bernice Chris wrote in his blog that only about 50 tokens can be used in real life.

According to him, if earlier investors were focused on different blockchain protocols, now they are more interested in fundraising using new technologies. He also noted that in 2017 on the cryptocurrency market was dominated by transactions using tokens. However, in 2019, everything changed, and in place of the tokens came securities.

However Bernanke believes that in the future “thousands of companies” will use the technology of distributed registry. However, from the myriad blockchain protocols on the market will be dominated by only a few of the most successful. At the same time, he said, in 2021 many will regret not invested in certain tokens within the previous few years.

Bernanke also noted that approximately 95% of the commercially available tokens are simply “not work”:

“I would say that there are not more than 50 tokens that have a practical application. It is less than 2.5% of the total number of coins presented on CoinMarketCap. However, these 50 projects are inspiring, they have a lot to learn”
