The second-largest edition in the US New York Times (NYT) opened a vacancy for a developer of concept of the use of the blockchain in the publishing order.

Thus, the publication is looking for a specialist who is willing to blockchain experiment for 12 months as part of the research Department.

Simultaneously, the NYT plans to share its vision with other media, as well as to form a sort of consortium around the project. The NYT also plans to recruit advisors from news organizations, academic circles and social media.

Earlier startup Civil developing blockchain platform for journalists, announced the return of funds to investors because of failure to softcap ICO.

Note that in October of 2018, one of the world’s leading business publications Forbes entered into an agreement with the operator of the Civil platform for testing the capabilities of the blockchain. To establish cooperation with the NYT, Dow Jones and the Washington Post start-up failed.
