One of the most ardent supporters of digital currencies Mike Novogratz suddenly changed its forecast and stated that the bitcoin’s rally is expected only in 2019.
New time expert, investor and “kryptonic” announced during an interview with Bloomberg. In his opinion, bitcoin can demonstrate breakthrough roughly in the first half of next year.
He said:
I see no reason to push bitcoin above $10 000 to the end of this year. The market can prepare for the rally for a longer time than we expect.
Mike Novogratz, who founded the cryptocurrency investment firm Galaxy Investment Partners, known for its aggressive forecasts about the prospects for bitcoin and other digital assets. In July 2018 he said that over the next 12 months we will have to wait for the increase in the digital market capitalization to $800 billion.
However, in early October, after analyzing the situation, Novogratz has changed its position and became more cautious. He stressed that now is hardly the main coin in the medium term will be able to break the mark of $9000.
Novogratz supported the launch of the Fidelity Investments platform for storage of digital currencies and their exchange. According to him, the launch of such products will facilitate entry of large investors into the cryptocurrency market and the rising popularity of bitcoin.
