Specializing in cyber security company Symantec has discovered in the Microsoft Store for Windows eight apps with built-in improved version Coinhive, script for covert mining of cryptocurrency Monero.

Note that the application worked on Windows 10 and Windows 10 S Mode. Their developers made some DigiDream, 1clean and Findoo, but Symantec suggested that it could be one and the same person.

Apps that appeared in the store between April and December 2018, launch a JavaScript library miner through Google Tag Manager.

Recall that 4.32% of the outstanding Monero coins (worth about $56 million) extracted illegal ways.
