Payment giant Mastercard has patented technology to the implementation of anonymous cryptocurrency transactions. According to the application filed in the U.S. Patent and trademark office on Thursday, the company has developed the technology to hide the sender and the transfer amount in the implementation of the transaction in the blockchain.

Anonymity will be ensured through the use of intermediate addresses that communicate with public wallet addresses. In fact, the transaction is split into two parts. When using this technology, users will send and receive cash with a limited number of addresses which, in turn, will be mixed with the total array of transactions of other users.

According to a statement by Mastercard, their development aimed at meeting the needs of users in anonymity.

This is not the first application of Mastercard-related bloccano. In September, the Bureau for registration of patents and trademarks U.S. has published three patent applications filed by Mastercard and describing methods and systems for transaction processing via direct payment user with the application of blockchain technology.

Recall that MasterCard is one of the world leaders in the number of filed patent applications in the field of blockchain technology. Together with the financial conglomerate Bank of America and IBM Corporation, the payment system is also leading in the number of patent applications submitted in this sector in the United States.
