The Bureau on registration of patents and trademarks U.S. has published three new patent applications filed by Mastercard payment system and describes methods and systems for transaction processing via direct payment user with the application of blockchain technology. It is expected that it will allow you to record information about these transactions during their processing, facilitating organizations or their participants, as well as multi-service platforms tracking the progress of orders.

“The use of digital registers, such as the blockchain can simplify the process of providing services on the platform with reliable data storage format which is easily verifiable involved in the transaction parties. The use of distributed registries can provide such advantages as the absence of opportunities to make changes, including unauthorized, and to falsify data that will further enhance their reliability”, – says the authors of the applications.

The filings also noted that as a result of the use of patented solutions multiservice platform will be able to provide more services while ensuring security and transparency better than system-oriented, even just for one service.

Recall that MasterCard is one of the world leaders in the number of filed patent applications in the field of blockchain technology. Together with the financial conglomerate Bank of America and IBM Corporation, the payment system is also leading in the number of patent applications submitted in this sector in the United States.
