The French company Ledger, a well-known manufacturer of hardware cryptocurrency wallet, announced the expansion of its business in Asia with opening of office in Hong Kong.

The head of the company in the Asia-Pacific region (APAC) appointed Benjamin sung (Benjamin Soong). He will oversee all APAC operations Ledger as the activity of the company expands to meet demand for hardware cryptomodule Ledger’s Nano and solution for enterprise storage scriptaction Ledger Vault, said in a statement.

Prior to joining the Ledger Benjamin sun was managing Director, APAC research company S & P Global Market Intelligence. Earlier in his career he worked in the global auditing giants KPMG and Deloitte.

“APAC is a key market where we are seeing increased demand. With Benjamin at the helm we are confident that we can ensure maximum safety for consumers and for financial institutions to protect their cryptocurrency assets,” the President said Ledger Pascal Gauthier (Pascal Gauthier).

As noted by the sun, the financial system blockchain technology is developing rapidly, and it is essential to ensure reliable measures for safe storage of assets.

“We expect to grow quickly and have already planned further expansion of the office, including Tokyo, Seoul and Singapore. I look forward to creating a world-class team that will help us accelerate our growth in the Asia-Pacific region,” he said.
