18 October in Moscow gallery “Elektromuzey in Rostokino” will open the exhibition “Mad money”, in which modern artists have tried to rethink the basic concepts of the market digital assets. About this magazine ForkLog said the legal representatives of the expert community Blockchain Lawyers that acted as a partner of the exhibition.

According to the curator of the exhibition of Aristarkh Chernyshev, the topic of money always cared about artists, so contemporary artists explore the nature of intangible money and the Internet as the environment of their functioning.

“Mining bitcoin has become a part of the work of some artists who demonstrate how to transform the social environment through new financial tools: used transaction data as control signals for his installations that incorporate stocks into their facilities,” he said.

The exhibition “Mad money” will be presented online projects related to real transactions and projects, critically interpreting the space of e-Commerce.

“Part of the installations works with the cryptocurrency market and offers new solutions for using the heat released during mining. In other projects, the artists offer new tools to verify the authenticity of digital artifacts” — said Chernyshev.

The exhibition will be attended by ::VTOL:: (Dmitry Morozov), Alex Buldakov, Anwar Musrepov, Fyodor Aptekarev, Cesar Escudero Andalus, Ubermorgen, Kyle MacDonald, and others.

The exhibition runs until 7 December.
