Manufacturer of hardware wallets to store bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in the company Ledger presented the Ledger Nano X – improved version of the Ledger Nano’s, writes CoinDesk.

The new model was presented at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas has support for Bluetooth, wider screen and more space for data storage — Ledger Nano X can store information on 100 scriptactive, which is six times more than the Ledger Nano S.

Bluetooth support in combination with a new mobile version of the Ledger Live also means that users will be able to make transactions at any time without having to have access from a stationary computer or laptop.

In addition, the Ledger Nano X will be equipped with a rechargeable battery that will allow the device to work without having to be connected to the computer via USB.

Commenting on suggestions that the presence of Bluetooth support can facilitate the hacking of the devices by hackers, CEO Eric Ledger Lausevic wrote on Reddit:

“Nano-X running, already assuming that the Bluetooth connection is compromised. The addition of BLE does not affect the security of the transaction should always be physically verified using pressing both buttons on the device. According to The Verge, pre-orders Ledger Nano X (priced at $119 including shipping) will start as early as 7 January, and deliveries will begin in March. Mobile application Ledger Live Buda is available in the iOS App Store and Google Play on January 28.
