The Department of homeland security (DHS) plans to develop a structure of effective monitoring of transactions and zcash for Monero due to the capabilities of the software analysts.

According to the published document, DHS seeks to achieve this by developing a “product to support the implementation based on blockchain forensics, data analysis and information exchange”. The Ministry invited interested organizations to participate in the study, called “Application to forensic analysis of the blockchain for DHS”.

The Agency is particularly interested in the structures monitoring aimed at zcash for and Monero, because existing is focused on bitcoin and cover a limited area of cryptocurrencies, said the DHS. Expanding tracking to crypto currencies with high confidentiality will demonstrate that the Ministry has sufficient capacity to eliminate the threats posed by illegal hidden transactions, I believe in DHS.

“The main feature underlying these new blockchain platforms that is often highlighted is their ability to anonymity and secrecy. While these functions demand the same interest is the tracking and understanding of the transactions and actions of an illegal nature. To this end, the proposal calls for solutions that will allow law enforcement agencies to conduct forensic analysis of transactions on the blockchain”, — the document says DHS.

In the proposal, the Agency identified three stages of research. The first included a design ecosystem analysis of the blockchain, aimed at zcash for and Monero. Phase II is the demonstration of the developed solutions at the level of the prototype. The third phase — the actual implementation of the forensic examination of the block chain, assisting law enforcement and the fight against money laundering.

Recall that the anonymous nature of the cryptocurrency as zcash for, Monero and Dash is causing concern among law enforcement agencies and regulators. Earlier Europol called Monero, zcash for and Dash “serious problem,” US Secret service asked to pay to Congress, asking them to legislate against anonymous cryptocurrency.
