The largest U.S. Bank JPMorgan Chase instructed the head of the London FINTECH departments to develop a cryptocurrency strategy.

29-year-old Oliver Harris (Oliver Harris) received a new position of head of strategy scriptaction reporting to the head of the blockchain initiatives for the corporate and investment division JPMorgan Umar Farouk (Umar Farooq).

Harris will determine the strategy and lead a new cryptocurrency projects and not to deal directly with the trade scriptactive. It will also study services storage of digital assets and application of the blockchain in the payment business of JPMorgan. In addition, Harris will lead the internal blockchain-draft Bank — Quorum.

Last year, JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon (Jamie Dimon) became the most famous critic of bitcoin and cryptocurrency financial world. He called the first cryptocurrency a “hoax” and promised to fire any employee that will trade BTC. In January of this year, Dimon said that he regretted his statements, but noted that bitcoin does not interest him.

Recently, however, the co-President of JP Morgan Chase Daniel Pinto (Daniel Pinto), who came to office earlier this year, admitted that the Bank monitors the cryptocurrency space.
