Tehran considers a promising direction for the use of cryptocurrencies for leaving under the influence of the dollar. This was stated by the head of the Commission of economic Affairs of the Islamic consultative Assembly of Iran, Mohammad Reza of Parabrahma (Mohammad Reza Pourebrahimi) during a meeting with the head of the Federation Council Committee on economic policy Dmitry Mezentsev.

“The last two years raised important issues about the use of cryptocurrencies. This is one of the good ways to bypass the use of the dollar and the SWIFT system. We ordered the Central Bank in Iran that they have already begun to develop proposals for the use of cryptocurrency”.

According to Parabrahma, the use of crypto-currencies in trade with Russia has been discussed in the state Duma Committee on economic policy:

“They share our opinion. We said that if we manage to promote this work, we will be the first country that use cryptocurrency in the exchange of goods”.

We will remind, last week of Mohammad Reza Parabrahma reported that the Iranian people have already purchased a bitcoin on foreign markets worth more than $2.5 billion at the same time he said that, although the national cryptocurrency could facilitate economic activities and anti-American sanctions, the country has no development of their own cryptocurrency.

This information is contrary to the Minister of information and communication technology of Iran Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi (Mohammad-Javad Azari Jahromi), which in late April said that Iran has already developed a pilot local cryptocurrency.
