Manufacturer bitcoin Coinme terminals has signed an agreement with the company Coinstar engaged in the installation of kiosks for a quick exchange of coins for paper bills. From now on, Coinstar customers can get not only cash, but also bitcoin.
During the launch phase this opportunity is granted only to visitors from certain outlets of Safeway and Albertsons in California, Texas and Washington, however, in the future, the company “plans to expand its offer to other markets of the United States”.
CEO Coinme Nile Bergqvist is convinced that through cooperation with Coinstar his clients will receive “a convenient and easy way of buying bitcoin”.
It is curious that, despite the main purpose of the kiosks Coinstar, they only sell bitcoin for bills. “Use coins to make bitcoin transactions impossible” – said in a press release.
To buy bitcoin, a user must enter their phone number and paste into notes-receiver designated amount. After that, he will get a code which will be able to request bitcoin Coinme on the website.
In late December released a study whose authors concluded that the infrastructure of crypto-terminals is increasing worldwide, despite the declining market.
