Member of the financial services Committee in the House of representatives Juan Vargas proposed to apply blockchain technology to combat the use of cryptocurrencies in the purchase of sexual services and drugs. It is reported by CoinDesk.

Juan Vargas hopes that this bill will make the cryptocurrency more transparent and increase the efficiency of Federal services.

If the US Congress will take the initiative to a vote, the General accounting Office conduct a study on how virtual currency is used to support human trafficking, drug trafficking, and other purposes.

We will note, in March, television network, Playboy TV started to accept the cryptocurrency as payment for adult content. However, operation of such platforms was under threat after the U.S. Congress in April passed a law FOSTA-SESTA banning the sex trade on the Internet.
