South Korea announced intentions to run like a Swiss Cryptocoryne blockchain center in Busan, according to local news portal Edaily, citing a statement by the head of the Association of Financial ICT Convergence On Chan Ging.
“We in Korea need a place for the development of kriptonyte”he said.
The Association plans to open the space “CRYPTOPSY” in Haeundae-GU, a district in the Eastern part of Busan, which annually attracts thousands of tourists. In August it is planned to discuss this project with city authorities.
According to Chang Keun, a South Korean company is now forced to run ICO abroad due to the current ban. He expressed concern about the lack of understanding by the authorities of new technology and its benefits.
Recall that in may the Supreme Court of South Korea has recognized cryptocurrencies property which can be confiscated in the course of a criminal investigation.
