The President of Poland Andrzej Duda signed the bill, involving the introduction of 19% tax on gains from operations with cryptocurrencies. It is reported Crypto News.

According to the document, income from operations with cryptocurrencies equal to the income from capital gains. Rate 19% flat for individuals and organizations. However, the tax does not apply when you convert one cryptocurrency to another, and only in the exchange of digital assets for Fiat money, goods, services, etc.

In addition, the new law provided the so-called “solidarity tax” of 4% that is payable if the income from cryptocurrency to exceed 1 million zloty (about $250 thousand).

Citizens will be annually reported to the tax authorities declarations on transactions with cryptocurrencies. The new rule should come into force in January 2019.
