On Saturday, September 29, in Kiev on the former site of the Lenin monument, the opening of a virtual monument to the Creator of bitcoin Satoshi Nakamoto. This installation was the first in the framework of a global project to create Cities in augmented reality under the auspices of Satoshi Nakamoto Republic.
The event began with a procession of cryptoendoliths who were carrying placards with slogans in support of bitcoin and decentralization of the society: “Bitcoin is secure by nothing”, “We want pension in bitcoin”, etc.
“Since no one knows who Satoshi Nakamoto, he may be a Ukrainian, and hence the grandson or great-grandson of Makhno,” said founder Satoshi Nakamoto Republic Alexander Soroka.
He added that the simple desire to have fun the idea quickly grew into a global project on creation of virtual cities in augmented reality.
According to the organizers, a virtual monument to reflect all the personality in which people represent Satoshi Nakamoto (a woman, artificial intelligence or an alien).
“Until the end of 2018, two virtual image Satoshi Nakamoto appears in the United States. The initiative joined the company Younk, the world’s first music blockchain platform. The co-founders of the company Pavel Elizarov Andrey Dakhovskii became the founders of the virtual landmarks in Los Angeles and Miami”, — noted the organizers.
Application for viewing virtual memorial can be found in Google Play on the phrase Satoshi Nakamoto Republic or in the App Store for the phrase Satoshi Monument. Note that since the augmented reality technology is relatively new, older phone models may not support it.
As previously reported ForkLog after you install virtual memorial organizers also planned to file a public petition to the Kyiv city state administration and to announce the collection of money for the installation of a real monument.
