On the eve of Chinese New year, tech giant IBM delivered from China to Singapore 28 tons of oranges and tangerines. When processing of shipping bill of lading evidencing the contract of sending, technology was used blockchain, CoinDesk reports.

IBM noted that the electronic bill of lading (e-BL) has speeded up administrative processes “one second”, which in turn has reduced the cost of storage of fruits.

“The blockchain has provided us monitored and protected from unauthorized access document repository for the shipping industry, where fraud documents accounts for 40% of all cases of fraud”, – added in IBM.

A pilot project has already received positive feedback from industry and authorities.

We will remind, in November of 2018, IBM announced plans to patent the blockchain system to determine the boundaries of augmented reality.
