Implementation of updates of Constantinople, the second part of the hard forks Metropolis in Ethereum, will be delayed until early 2019. This decision was made by the developers during the videoconference.

The initial release of the Constantinople in the core network was planned for November, however, after the discovery of several bugs in the tests in the network Ropsten, the developers decided to wait.

“I think we’re moving too fast. We need to pause and understand what is happening”, — said the developer of the Afri Sedan of Parity.

The representative of the security Department of the Ethereum Foundation Martin Holst Schwende added that this would give developers time to add code ProgPow, aimed at combating ASIC-miners, in Constantinople.

We will remind, earlier code Constantinople were integrated into the Ethereum client Parity.
