Sent to cryptocotyle donations are automatically converted into Fiat currency.

According to FPF Executive Director Trevor Timm, the decision is “quite natural” for an organization that supports journalists reporting on issues in various States. In addition, he believes that decentralized technologies are a tool against censorship, usurpation of power, and also counteract monopolies in the sphere of online payments.

“We live in a time when journalists around the world like never at risk of persecution and arrests, — shares his thoughts the representative of the FPF. — It is extremely important that supporters of the free press had all the capacities available to fight.”

One of the first donation to FPF made a blockchain startup Mainframe, sending organization 1000 ETH (over half a million US dollars at the current exchange rate).

We will remind, in April, WikiLeaks has called for a “global blockade” of the company Coinbase, which has blocked cryptocurrency wallet divisions of this international non-profit organization.
