Turnover and trade anonymous cryptocurrencies such as Dash, Monero, zcash for Private and Bitcoin may fall under the ban in France. The proposal was made by the head of the Finance Committee of the local National Assembly Eric Vert.
According to him, the innovation will help the regulator to protect the interests of participants of the cryptocurrency market.
“Given that the coin protocols which do not allow to identify the users that can potentially be used for fraud, tax evasion, money laundering and other illegal activities, it would be advisable to propose a ban on their distribution and Commerce,” said Eric Woerth in his report.
He also proposed to discuss the issue of banning anonymous cryptocurrency trading on licensed exchanges.
A similar ban on the use of anonymous cryptocurrency in June 2018 valid in Japan.
We will remind, in December 2018, the French government refused to soften the tax regime for owners of cryptocurrencies. In particular, the deputies rejected the changes, which included increasing the amount of the tax exemption from €305 to €3000 or €5000 a year, calling this initiative “excessive”.
