The last few years between blockchain-designers and manufacturers of ASIC miners comes to the technological race. Developers tend to limit the profitability of ASIC in their systems, the manufacturers — to make more efficient devices. In the new special project from ForkLog and æternity “Wrestling with ASIC: present and future of mining cryptocurrencies” we are told what is behind this struggle and what it will bring in the blockchain industry.

To create a picture of opinion in the community, we turned to the experts in the field of mining and equipment. In preparing the material we were helped by Alex Petrov, Andrei the Great, John Tromp, Dmitry Zyablov and Matthew European roller.

Special project “the Fight against ASIC: present and future of mining cryptocurrencies” is a illustrated material about the impact of ASIC-mining industry, the “arms race” between blockchain-designers and manufacturers of mining equipment plus.

You will learn what is ASIC and how they differ from other chips, how and why the developers are trying to fight against ASIC mining, but more about what that fight will end if it ends at all.

Along with æternity and other blockchain projects we continue to prepare interesting materials. Subscribe to our newsletter and don’t miss the new special projects.

And if you missed something, check out our last special project with æternity “Change of paradigm: functional programming in blockchain development”.
