Social investment platform eToro acquired the Danish blockchain startup Firmo, according to a press release.

Firmo is developing smart contracts for derivatives that can be supported by “any popular bloccano”, including Ethereum, NEO or EOS. In addition, the company develops the language of smart contracts FirmoLang.

According to CEO and co-founder of eToro, Yoni Assia, the acquisition of Firmo will contribute to the development of the company licenzirovanie assets.

“The blockchain and the tokenization of the assets will take an important place in the world of Finance. We are confident that over time, all suitable for investment assets will be licenzirovanie, and we can watch the greatest in the history of the transfer of value in a distributed register,” — said the head of the platform with 10 million users.

Firmo will operate as an innovation unit eToro. In particular, the startup will be engaged in the research and development of the infrastructure for tokenization of assets and trading transactions on the blockchain.
