Thanks to a new partnership between Ethereum Name Service (ENS), and Minds + Machines Group (MMX) users will get the opportunity to tie their addresses to the top-level domain, due to which it will be easier to remember IDs that are associated with their assets, wallets and services. According to representatives of MMX, address .luxe will allow users to “traditional activities” with the same address that they use for their Ethereum assets.
With the help of ENS users can already replace long addresses readable names that are bound to the domain .eth. Soon they will have a new option in the form of the upcoming launch of the domain .luxe (lets u easily xchange), which will make access to the blockchain-assets, decentralized applications and smart contracts more friendly to users.
“Experiments in the area .eth we already know that there is a confirmed demand for alphabetic identifiers for blockchain services”, — said CEO of MMX Toby Hall.
A leading developer of ENS Nick Johnson also notes that the native blockchain domains.luxe will improve the integration between the traditional space of DNS and blockchain technology.
It is expected that public domain registration .luxe, preceded by a period of limited registration starts October 30, 2018.
The Ethereum project Name Service was launched in the spring of 2017 and has an automatic logger, which allows anyone using the auction to register addresses in the domain zone .eth.
In may 2017 for quite considerable sums purchased the IDs foundation.eth and exchange.eth. The first cost the buyer $27,000 in ETH, the second one cost even more — $609 000, which was paid in ETH.
