In the company blog says that the Keycard is a new type hardware wallet with open API, which allows you to securely store, send and receive cryptocurrency in a contactless manner.

According to the developers, the Keycard is a continuation Hardwallet, which was submitted in November 2017 at Devcon3 in Mexico city.

“Blockchain landscape since then has changed significantly. There are new wallets and countless tokens, while thousands of new developers contributing to the ecosystem. The Keycard is a natural reflection of these changes”, — stated in the message.

The device is similar to traditional Bank cards, and can be not only integrated with the other wallets and the hardware, but allows you to create your own smart card.

Unlike most other hardware wallets, private keys, Keycard uses NFC technology. This gives you the ability to sign and verify transactions with a simple touch of the device to a mobile phone.

The new device is compatible with most popular cryptocurrencies, including bitcoin, Bitcoin, Cash, Litecoin, Ripple, and Ethereum tokens ERC-20, and can also be used together with the desktop application via USB connection.

It should be noted that the exact timing of when the Keycard will be available to the General public, is not yet known. At the initial stage, the creators want to get the necessary feedback and therefore offer a free device to developers. Further, when the device goes into mass production, its price is, as stated, will be $29.
