The Minister of trade and industry Denmark Michelsen, Brian (Brian Mikkelsen) signed a Declaration on the country’s accession to the European partnership in the field of blockchain technology, previously formed by 22 EU countries.
The partnership, which was announced in early April, aimed at the elaboration of the approach by all member States unified to the new technology by sharing technical and regulatory knowledge. Also announced the promotion of study and application of the blockchain on the European digital single market.
Michelsen, noted that the country is studying the technology of the blockchain from last year and intends to become the first country in the world which will be deposited into the blockchain national registration ship registry.
“The blockchain is hampered by national borders and a common European cooperation is crucial for future standards and solutions. So I am very happy that we signed a Declaration,” said the Danish Minister.
We will remind, at the end of last year, it was reported that the Ministry of foreign Affairs of Denmark together with Sustainia and the blockchain platform Coinify has researched the possibility of applying new technologies in the field of humanitarian field. At the beginning of this year, IBM and the Danish shipping company Maersk has announced a joint venture to develop solutions based on blockchain technology.
