Company Group-IB, specializing in information security, together with the IT-platform CryptoIns published the rating of reliability of the leading bitcoin exchanges from the point of view of the insurance stored on them, according to media reports The Next Web.

All exchanges were divided into four groups depending on the risk. The first group includes the most reliable, while the fourth is the least reliable.

The criteria for determining the extent of insurance risk include the level of technical security of the exchange, reliability of storage of keys, passwords, and personal user data. It was also considered the quality management systems of individual risk and compliance platforms procedures anti-money laundering (AML) and customer verification (KYC).

A group of the most reliable in this respect exchanges experts Group-IB was carried only Kraken with insurance premium of 1.25%. This means that insurance 1 BTC 90-day period will be worth 0.0125 BTC.

Followed by Coinbase and Bittrex with an index of 1.5%. The third group consisted of Binance, Bitfinex, Bithumb, BitMEX, Localbitcoins, MyEtherWallet and Poloniex — the amount of these exchanges is 1.9%.

It is noteworthy that OKex, the world’s second daily trading volume, along with Huobi and Coincheck related to the list of unreliable from the point of view of insurance assets.

The least reliable named exchange Yobit. Also the list does not included such exchanges as Zaif, Bitstamp, TopBTC and Bit-Z.

As the newspaper notes, the representatives of Group-IB and CryptoIns refused to disclose the criteria by which carried certain of the exchange in the list of least reliable, citing the confidentiality of the information.
