The company Pantera Capital raised $125 million investment for opening a venture capital Fund focused on the field of blockchain and cryptocurrency, according to CoinDesk.

The closing of the funding round scheduled for March. The target amount of the project is $175 million and consequently the company already managed to collect most of the money.

According to the Pantera Capital, the company “had talks with lots of” investors, including institutionally, endowments and pension funds.

The new Fund plans to support between 30 to 50 companies. Previously created two Fund Pantera Capital to date invested in a total of 44 projects.

Among the priority investment areas of Pantera Capital — custodian solution, stock exchanges, asset management, institutional tools and infrastructure.
