American CEO of cryptocurrency company Coinbase, Brian Armstrong joined the philanthropic campaign The Giving Pledge (“the giving pledge”), launched in 2010, billionaires bill gates and Warren Buffett. This writes CNBC.

Participants in The Giving Pledge become billionaires-philanthropists, who wished to donate at least 50% of their wealth to charity. Brian Armstrong became the first kryptoperidinium, who joined this charitable program. Among other participants of the initiative is Elon Musk, Ted Turner, David Rockefeller, Michael Bloomberg and George Lucas.

Brian Armstrong said that he always admired those people, “whose commitment to improve the world is greater than any goals related to personal wealth”. In June, the CEO of Coinbase started their own charity campaign GiveCrypto.org. Non-profit organization helps those living below the poverty line people to send remittances to the cryptocurrency.
