The world’s largest mining company Bitmain has announced plans to create a new data center and mining of cryptocurrencies in the city of Rockdale (TX).
A week ago about similar plans of the Chinese company told local media his conclusions are made on the basis of open Bitmain jobs for local specialists.
Mining giant announced that the facility will be part of the planned investment program for $500 million in the region. It is expected that the centre, which will be opened in an abandoned aluminium factory Alcoa will provide 400 new jobs.
In addition, the plans Bitmain cooperation with local educational institutions in training young people in technical and professional skills required for a career in the data center.
According to a statement from Bitmain, center Rockdale will be a key component of the strategic plan of investment and expansion of the company’s business in North America.
