Affected users a long-defunct bitcoin exchange Mt.Gox can now submit an application for a refund of the funds withheld on the wallets of the company. This was reported on the website of Mt.Gox.
The document States that the site of Mt.Gox is running a tool through which users can make their applications for compensation under the program of civilian rehabilitation. Also provided is the application process by mail. To do this, users need to download the application form, fill it and send along with other documents to the address of the Mt.Gox in Tokyo.
At this stage only addresses the requirements of individual clients. Over time, however, such opportunity will be provided to corporate users of Mt.Gox.
“During the bankruptcy proceedings, the Trustee has created a system, through which users exchange Mt.Gox can provide proof of their rehabilitation requirements for the return of cryptocurrency and money. With this system, users from around the world without wasting time and money, can freely participate in civil rehabilitation”, — stated in the document.
In a separate document specified that the deadline for such applications will expire on October 22 of this year. The deadline of response to the rehabilitation of the Trustee requests tentatively scheduled for January 24, 2019.
