Australian operator Gobbill payments and cryptocurrency exchange Cointree signed an agreement that aims to provide users of these platforms to pay bills with cryptocurrency.

Payment will be available even if the vendor of the digital assets does not accept.

Gobbill will play the role of intermediary, taking money from people and paying bills on their behalf. To use this service the clients will have to store digital assets in the accounts Cointree. Currently the exchange supports 40 cryptocurrencies, including BTC, XRP, NEO, ETH and LTC.

CEO Gobbill of shendon Evans (Shendon Ewans) noted that these changes are necessary to meet both existing and expected demand.

“Our company expects an influx of new users who would like to pay bills with cryptocurrency. Partnership with Cointree will help us to serve this market and will allow Gobbill to be at the forefront when it comes to new technologies. Our goal is to enable the customers to automatically pay their bills and to feel in complete safety,” said shendon Evans.

It should be noted that earlier the government of the Australian state of Queensland decided to add the ability to pay for goods and services using cryptocurrency to attract new tourists. Research the company Chainalysis showed that the maximum volume of bitcoin payments occur in September 2017 and $411 million, after which it gradually decreased and reached the level of $60 million in may 2018.
