A venture capital company from Silicon valley, Andreessen Horowitz has launched focused on the blockchain-industry Fund with assets of $300 million, writes CoinDesk.

A Fund called “a16z” will be engaged in a long-term investment in cryptocurrency and blockchain projects.

“We invest in scriptactive for more than five years, — said General partner at Andreessen Horowitz, Chris Dixon. — We have structured a16z so that we had the opportunity to hold their investments for more than 10 years.”

He added that the company will engage in long-term investments consistently, regardless of market conditions. The Fund will focus on projects that offer sustainable solutions for the long term and not for “speculative use-cases”.

Note also that the position of one of the company executives is a former U.S. attorney Catherine Hawn.

We will remind, in June, Andreessen Horowitz (a16z) and other venture capital Corporation has invested $20 million in the platform for tokenization assets TrustToken.
