Wednesday, November 14, the cryptocurrency market continued in the beginning of the week decline, losing in the last 24 hours for a total of about $7 billion of capitalization. Bitcoin price on a number of exchanges fell below $6200, thus returning to a mid-October.
So, as you can see in the chart below, the rate of bitcoin on Bitstamp earlier today fell to $6146.
Average rate, however, due to the higher prices on exchanges like Bitfinex ($6365 at the time of publication), is at the level of $6280. The capitalization of the top crypto currencies at this hour is estimated at $205 billion.
Losing for the last day of 1.3%, bitcoin traditionally entailed and most other cryptocurrencies. Almost all the coins from CoinMarketCap top ten lost from 3 to almost 6%. Several large (-8.1%) was the loss of Bitcoin from Cash, which is in anticipation of tomorrow’s hard forks.
The total market capitalization of cryptocurrencies is currently $205 billion, of which 53% is in bitcoin.
We will remind, earlier this month, BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes suggested that the price of bitcoin could fall to $2000.
